Bulgaria: A week of intolerance to counter the first Gay Pride in Sofia

A nationalist group trying to prevent the holding of the first Gay Pride in Bulgaria in Sofia, next Saturday, by organizing a "Week of intolerance" against homosexuals.

Rassate Boyan, who leads the right wing of the Bulgarian National Union (UNB), is behind this initiative, which claims to denounce including "protection" which would enjoy homosexuals from the countries of Europe 's west.

The "Week of intolerance" wishes to promote all possible means to restrict the "manifestations of homosexuality" in Bulgarian society.
